Legal information
Privacy Policy
Minted Investments LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides Junk Mail OptOut. This notice explains the information handled when you use the desktop application and related account, discovery, and paid mailing services.
1. Information we process
- Account data: email address, account identifiers, verification activity, sign-in tokens and subscription eligibility.
- Mailing data: your name, postal address, scanned advertising images, identified senders and contact details, request text, tracking references, status events, and request history.
- Billing data: Stripe customer and subscription references, plan, payment status and invoice-related events. Stripe processes payment details; the app should not store full card numbers.
- Diagnostics: technical errors and service usage needed for reliability and fraud prevention; where enabled for troubleshooting and service security.
2. Local and cloud storage
The desktop app stores scanned images, settings, and request records locally. The local database is not separately encrypted by the application; device-level security, such as full-disk encryption, can provide additional protection. Cloudflare Workers and D1 support account authentication, mailing records, subscription allowances and authorization. On supported Windows devices, sign-in sessions are protected using Windows Data Protection API.
3. How information is used
We use information to recognize incoming advertising, identify advertisers, prepare opt-out requests, contact relevant organizations at your direction, process authorized postal submissions, provide tracking, authenticate accounts, enforce subscription limits, prevent abuse, and operate and improve the Service.
4. Services and disclosures
- Cloudflare: hosting, account and mailing service processing, email verification delivery, and database storage.
- Stripe: subscription checkout, payment processing, invoices, billing status and the Customer Portal.
- Lob: postal letter preparation, mailing, and available status information.
- OpenAI and search services: selected scan images or relevant search queries may be transmitted when AI-assisted features are used or enabled in Settings; provider behavior depends on the configured feature.
- Advertisers and their service providers: identifying and mailing information needed to process your opt-out request.
- Email providers and recipient websites: email/form delivery and related interactions when used.
Uploaded mail images and relevant searches may be processed by configured services when you use AI-assisted features. Postal and electronic opt-out requests include the information needed to identify the addressee and process the request.
5. Your choices
Available settings may allow you to choose review-before-sending or automated submission for verified senders, disable or restrict AI-assisted processing, and remove local companies or images. Deleting a local record does not automatically cancel or remove a completed mailing, payment, or provider record. You can use account and billing features to manage sign-in and subscriptions.
6. Retention and deletion
Local records remain on your device until removed or the application data is deleted. Cloud-hosted account, billing, postal, and audit records are retained as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, accounting, security, or dispute requirements. To request access or deletion of account information, use the contact form on our website. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, billing, or fulfillment purposes.
7. Security
We use authentication, scoped customer access, server-side authorization, and encrypted transport where configured. No service or device storage is risk-free. Avoid scanning sensitive financial or government credentials and protect your Windows account and email inbox.
8. Children and international use
The Service is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit children's information. The initial Service is designed primarily for U.S. postal opt-out requests; availability and features may vary by location.
9. Privacy requests, updates and contact
For questions, access, correction or deletion requests, use the contact form at junkmailoptout.com. We will update this notice when our data practices change, with an updated effective date and appropriate notice.
